COMPARISON

Eduvy CRM vs ExtraaEdge

Admission CRM comparison for Indian colleges

Both are education-only Indian admission CRMs and both now do AI calling, so the real split is scope: ExtraaEdge is the broader admission cloud — chatbot, IVR telephony, application management and field CRM across schools, coaching, vocational, EdTech and overseas teams — while Eduvy CRM is narrower and deeper on one thing, an AI voice agent for Indian colleges that can prove every number it speaks.

Who each one is built for

Neither of these is a generic sales CRM with an education skin. Both were written for admission teams, which makes the comparison unusually clean: it comes down to how wide the platform is, and how far the AI is trusted to speak on its own.

Eduvy CRM (AVA by Eduvy)

Built for Indian colleges with more enquiries than counsellors. AVA calls every new enquiry within about 60 seconds, qualifies in nine Indian languages plus Hinglish switchable mid-call, scores the lead from the conversation itself, and hands a warm one to a counsellor with the brief already written.

The constraint that shapes it is that AVA may only speak facts your college has approved. Fees, dates, eligibility and scholarship amounts are quoted verbatim from an in-date approved fact, or not at all — in which case AVA defers to a human and logs the gap.

ExtraaEdge

ExtraaEdge sells an “AI-Powered Admission CRM Built for Modern Education Teams” and says it is used by 500+ admission teams. Its own site organises the product as Education CRM, Education Chatbot, Application Management System, Mobile CRM, WhatsApp API and Bot, and IVR, with VidyaAI as the intelligence layer over the top.

It targets higher education, schools, EdTech, vocational institutes, coaching institutes and overseas or study-abroad teams. For an institute that runs several of those funnels — or that needs a strong field-counsellor operation — the range matters.

03 — Be fair

Where ExtraaEdge is stronger

ExtraaEdge has more surface area than we do, and several of those surfaces are ones a large admission team genuinely leans on.

  • Human telephony infrastructure. The IVR product is a proper cloud-telephony stack — virtual DID and toll-free numbers, regional numbers for local presence, sticky agent, round-robin routing, desktop softphone. If your counsellors make hundreds of manual calls a day, that plumbing is doing real work.
  • Field operations. Field tracking of visits inside the mobile CRM suits institutes that run home demos, seminars and education fairs — a workflow we simply do not build for.
  • Chat as a first-class channel. An education chatbot with live chat, smart routing and a meeting scheduler, plus VidyaGPT answering across web and WhatsApp around the clock.
  • Application management. Form builder and widgets, video GD-PI and counselling, payment integration and status tracking come as part of the platform.
  • Reporting breadth and publisher tracking. 150+ reports, an analytics builder, counsellor and marketing dashboards, and publisher reports for institutes that buy leads from third-party portals.
  • Segment range. One contract can cover a school, a coaching arm and an overseas desk.
04 — Our case

Where Eduvy CRM is stronger

Because both products do AI calling, the useful question is narrower: what is the agent allowed to say, in which languages, under whose telecom registration — and what happens the second it hands over?

  • Grounding you can audit. AVA cannot invent a fee. Numbers and dates come verbatim from approved, in-date facts; anything else is deferred to a counsellor and logged as a knowledge gap, and every answer is traceable to the fact behind it.
  • Language coverage on the call itself. Nine Indian languages plus Hinglish, switchable mid-sentence, on a voice agent rather than only in chat.
  • Indian telecom compliance in the launch path. A DLT-compliance gate and a knowledge-base readiness gate must both read green before a campaign can dial, and each college runs as its own Principal Entity.
  • The hand-off is the design. The counsellor app opens on a queue of escalations with an amber Whisper brief on each — the reason it is warm, written before the counsellor taps in — and offers three calling modes so a weak-signal floor is not a dead end.
  • India hosting stated up front, with tenant isolation enforced at the database by row-level security.
  • Per-call economics in the open. Telephony, speech-to-text, text-to-speech and an estimated model cost, metered per call.
  • One vendor to the fee receipt. The student app, campus ERP and fee collection are Eduvy’s own software rather than a connector to maintain.
05 — Decide

How to decide, in six questions

  1. Is your calling desk human or automated? Hundreds of manual counsellor calls a day argue for deep IVR. Thousands of enquiries nobody reaches argue for an autonomous voice agent.
  2. Make each AI quote a fee it was never given. Whether it guesses, hedges or defers tells you what you are buying.
  3. Count your funnels. One college is a different purchase from a school plus a coaching arm plus an overseas desk.
  4. Do you run field counsellors? If visits, seminars and fairs are how you recruit, weigh field tracking heavily.
  5. Ask both vendors, in writing, where the data sits and how DND scrubbing, TRAI calling windows and AI disclosure are enforced on automated calls.
  6. Price the season, not the seat. Neither publishes rates, so model your real enquiry volume and ask for a quote against it.
Questions, answered

Eduvy CRM and ExtraaEdge, in short.

Does ExtraaEdge do AI calling, or only IVR?

Both. Its site lists "AI Calling for Qualification & Scale" under VidyaAI, which qualifies large volumes of enquiries and passes serious prospects to counsellors, and separately a full IVR product for human counsellor calls with virtual numbers, routing, recording and click-to-call.

What is the practical difference between the two AI agents?

Scope of authority. Eduvy CRM restricts AVA to facts a college has approved and keeps every spoken number replayable against the fact behind it, deferring to a counsellor when no approved fact exists. ExtraaEdge does not publish an equivalent grounding-and-defer contract on the pages we read, so ask for a live demonstration of what its agent does with an unanswerable question.

Which one is better for a coaching institute or a study-abroad desk?

ExtraaEdge, on the published evidence. It sells dedicated propositions for coaching and test-prep institutes, vocational training, schools, EdTech and overseas admissions. Eduvy CRM is built for Indian colleges and does not claim those segments.

How much does each cost?

Neither publishes rates. Capterra lists both as "Contact vendor for pricing" with no free trial. Eduvy quotes per institution rather than per student. Take both quotes against the same modelled enquiry volume for the coming season.

Can we keep our existing telephony provider?

Ask each vendor directly. ExtraaEdge sells IVR as its own product built inside the CRM with its own virtual numbers, and its mobile CRM FAQ notes cloud telephony can be integrated. Eduvy CRM runs the automated calling itself under your college’s own DLT registration. Number portability and existing contracts are worth settling before signing either.
