Eduvy CRM vs Meritto: which admissions CRM fits an Indian college?

Admissions CRM comparison for Indian colleges

If your bottleneck is the calling desk — enquiries sitting unanswered while counsellors dial dead numbers — Eduvy CRM is built around an AI voice agent that does that calling and proves every word it said; if your bottleneck is everything after the enquiry — forms, evaluation rounds, merit lists, document verification and payments, often across several education verticals — Meritto is the broader enrolment platform.

Who each one is built for

Both are education-only products, so the honest question is not “which is better software” but which problem you are buying a fix for this admission season.

Eduvy CRM (AVA by Eduvy)

Built for Indian colleges whose first problem is response time. The centre of gravity is an AI voice agent that calls every new enquiry within about 60 seconds, qualifies it in nine Indian languages plus Hinglish, and drops a scored lead into a counsellor’s pocket. Campaigns, WhatsApp follow-up, the counsellor app and analytics all exist to serve that one loop.

It is India-only by design: DLT and TRAI calling rules, DPDPA consent handling, row-level tenant isolation and India hosting are product-defining rather than settings. It also sits inside the wider Eduvy stack — the student app, online admission management, campus ERP and fee collection.

Meritto (formerly NoPaperForms)

Meritto describes itself as an “Operating System for Student Enrollment”, taking a student “from first inquiry to application, admission, payment and enrollment”. Its Enrollment Cloud bundles the education CRM, application platform, marketing automation, payments and enrolment analytics on one platform.

It is sold across higher education, K-12 schools, coaching and training institutes, preschools, EdTech and study-abroad consultants. If your group runs more than one kind of institution, or your admission process is heavy after the enquiry — evaluation rounds, merit lists, document checks — that breadth is the whole argument.

03 — Be fair

Where Meritto is stronger

Meritto has been building for Indian education far longer than we have, and there are procurement questions it answers better than we do today.

  • Post-application depth. Merit lists and shortlists, online scoring and evaluation, DocVerify document verification, result declaration and virtual GD-WAT-PI rounds are native modules. If your admission season lives or dies on evaluation logistics, that is a real advantage.
  • One vendor across verticals. A trust running a school, a degree college and a coaching arm can standardise on a single platform rather than three.
  • A published security posture. Certifications and audit statements listed openly — ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001, SOC 2 Type 1 with Type 2 readiness, GDPR-aligned practice — are exactly what a governing-body procurement committee asks for.
  • Two shapes of voice outreach. Besides Mio AI Voice, Amplify does pre-recorded voice broadcast with Press #1 lead capture and charges only for connected calls — a cheap way to reactivate a very large cold list.
  • Marketing-side tooling. Landing-page builder, lead-ad and remarketing connectors, and three-level source attribution give a marketing team more to work with than a calling-first CRM does.
04 — Our case

Where Eduvy CRM is stronger

Both products now have an AI calling agent, so the difference is not whether the AI dials. It is what the AI is allowed to say, and what happens the moment it stops talking.

  • The voice agent is the product, not a module. Everything from the knowledge base to the billing screen is arranged around one automated call per enquiry, made in seconds.
  • Grounding you can audit. Fees, dates, eligibility and scholarship amounts are spoken only from facts your college has approved and that are still in date — verbatim, never rounded. If no approved fact exists, AVA defers to a counsellor and logs the gap. Every answer is replayable against the fact that grounded it.
  • A counsellor app designed for the hand-off. The Whisper brief writes the “why” before the counsellor taps in, and three calling modes keep a call possible on a patchy 4G floor.
  • Indian telecom compliance in the launch path. A DLT-compliance gate and a knowledge-base readiness gate must both read green before any campaign can dial.
  • One vendor from enquiry to fee receipt. The Eduvy student app, campus ERP and fee collection are the same company’s software, not a connector.
  • Per-call economics in the open. Cost is metered per call and broken into telephony, speech-to-text, text-to-speech and an estimated model line, so nobody has to guess what an AI call costs.
05 — Decide

How to decide, in six questions

  1. Where do you actually lose students? If it is the first hour after an enquiry, buy calling. If it is the four weeks after the application, buy application tooling.
  2. How many institution types does the platform have to serve? One college points to a college-shaped product; a multi-vertical group points to a multi-vertical one.
  3. Ask both vendors to demo a wrong answer. Make the agent quote a fee it has not been given. What it does then is the whole product.
  4. Check who owns the DLT registration and how DND scrubbing, calling windows and AI disclosure are enforced on the automated calls.
  5. Ask where the data is stored, in which region, and what the exit looks like if you leave.
  6. Price the whole season, not the seat. Per-user, per-application, per-connected-call and per-institution quotes are not comparable until you model your real enquiry volume.
Questions, answered

Eduvy CRM and Meritto, in short.

Is Eduvy CRM a direct replacement for Meritto?

For the enquiry-to-counsellor half of admissions, yes — lead capture, AI calling, WhatsApp follow-up, counsellor workflow and analytics all live in Eduvy CRM. For heavy post-application machinery such as merit lists, online evaluation rounds and document verification, Meritto carries native modules that Eduvy CRM does not advertise, so a college that depends on those should scope that gap before switching.

Does Meritto have an AI voice agent as well?

Yes. Meritto introduced Mio AI Voice, an autonomous calling agent built natively inside Enrollment Cloud and its Education CRM, alongside Amplify for pre-recorded voice broadcast with Press #1 response. Any comparison that claims Eduvy is the only one with AI calling is out of date.

What does each one cost?

Neither publishes a price list. Meritto is listed on Capterra as "Contact vendor for pricing" with no free trial. Eduvy quotes per institution rather than per student or per seat. Model your season on real enquiry volume before comparing quotes.

Which is better for TRAI, DLT and DPDPA compliance?

They approach it differently. Eduvy CRM enforces DND scrubbing, TRAI calling windows and AI disclosure on every automated call, keeps each college as its own DLT Principal Entity, and blocks a campaign launch until a DLT gate and a knowledge-base gate both pass. Meritto publishes a security page listing ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001, SOC 2 Type 1 with Type 2 readiness, DPDPA and GDPR-aligned practice on AWS hosting. Certification evidence and calling-time enforcement are different things — ask both vendors for both.

Can either one connect to our campus ERP and fee collection?

Eduvy sells the campus ERP and fee collection itself, so those links are same-vendor rather than integrations, and no ERP connection is needed to start calling. Meritto handles payments through Collexo and integrates with learning-management systems, payment gateways and marketing tools; an ERP link there is an integration project to scope.
