Eduvy CRM vs LeadSquared for college admissions

Admissions CRM comparison for Indian colleges

LeadSquared is a large, configurable CRM platform with a serious education practice — and healthcare and financial-services practices alongside it — sold per user with published list prices; Eduvy CRM is a single-vertical Indian college admissions CRM built around an AI voice agent that calls, qualifies and follows up every enquiry, quoted per institution.

01 — Fit

Who each one is built for

This is a platform-versus-point-product comparison. One of these is a CRM suite you configure into an admissions process; the other is an admissions process that happens to ship as a CRM.

Eduvy CRM (AVA by Eduvy)

Built for Indian colleges whose enquiry volume has outgrown their counsellor headcount. AVA calls every new enquiry within about 60 seconds, qualifies it in nine Indian languages plus Hinglish, scores it from the conversation, and hands the warm ones to a counsellor with the reason already written.

It ships opinionated: an approved-facts knowledge base the AI may not deviate from, DLT and TRAI enforcement in the launch path, DPDPA consent records, India hosting, and same-vendor links to the Eduvy student app, campus ERP and fee collection. Less to configure, less to bend.

LeadSquared

LeadSquared sells Sales CRM, Marketing Automation, Service CRM and Mobile CRM for field operations across three named industries — healthcare, education and financial services — with an education practice covering higher education, EdTech, test prep, career and skill-training schools, K-12 and study-abroad consultancies, in India and the United States.

Its AI layer is a set of named agents: Invorto Voice AI on inbound and outbound calls, FloStack for instant personalisation and scheduling, Converse for conversational AI, and Siera for analytics. On the higher-education plans, the voice AI is offered as an add-on rather than as the base product.

On the higher-education plans it is listed as an optional add-on to Super, alongside AI Lead Propensity and AI Call Analytics.

India data hosting and complianceIndia-hosted. DND scrubbing, TRAI calling windows and AI disclosure enforced on every automated call; each college its own DLT Principal Entity; timestamped DPDPA consent; tenant isolation at the database with row-level security.LeadSquared describes its AI as “governed AI” operating within compliance policies. The pages we read do not state a hosting region or India-specific DLT and DND enforcement, so ask directly during procurement.
Pricing modelNo published price list; quoted per institution rather than per seat or per student.Published list prices. Sales Pro ₹2,500 and Sales Super ₹5,000 per user per month, billed annually; Marketing Pro ₹90,000 and Marketing Super ₹1,49,000 per account per year. The higher-education page quotes Pro from $14,400 a year and Super from $18,000 a year for 500–15,000 enrolments, with AI add-ons on Super.
03 — Be fair

Where LeadSquared is stronger

LeadSquared is a much larger platform than ours, and on several dimensions that size is the feature.

  • Prices you can compare before a sales call. Very few CRMs in this space publish list rates. LeadSquared does, for the sales suite, the marketing suite and its higher-education packages, which makes budgeting honest work rather than guesswork.
  • Platform breadth. Sales, marketing, service and field CRM under one roof, with unlimited workflow automation, audit logs, batch jobs and a scripting layer on the higher plans — room to model an unusual process rather than adapt to ours.
  • Student-information-system connectors. Named, bidirectional integrations with Banner, Anthology, Campus Nexus, Populi and Jenzabar matter to institutions running a US-style SIS or an overseas campus.
  • Field-team maturity. Offline mode, geo-fencing and territory management are built for recruiters who work fairs and territories, not just a phone room.
  • One vendor beyond education. A group with a hospital, an NBFC or a training arm can standardise on the same CRM across all of them.
  • A deep AI stack of its own. Invorto Voice AI works on inbound and outbound calls with sentiment analysis, and AI lead scoring prioritises high-intent prospects; this is not a company that lacks AI.
04 — Our case

Where Eduvy CRM is stronger

Our argument is narrowness. One country, one kind of institution, one loop done to the end.

  • The voice agent is the base product, not an add-on. On LeadSquared’s higher-education plans, Invorto AI Voice Bot, AI Lead Propensity and AI Call Analytics are listed as optional add-ons to Super. With Eduvy CRM, the AI calling is what you are buying.
  • Grounding you can audit. Fees, dates, eligibility and scholarship amounts are spoken only from approved, in-date facts, verbatim; anything else is deferred to a counsellor and logged, and every answer is replayable against the fact behind it.
  • Indian telecom rules in the product, not the policy document. DND scrubbing, TRAI calling windows and AI disclosure are enforced per call, each college runs as its own DLT Principal Entity, and a campaign cannot launch until a DLT gate and a knowledge-base gate both read green.
  • Nine Indian languages plus Hinglish on the call, switchable mid-sentence.
  • Per-institution pricing. Seats do not have to be rationed, so every counsellor can be in the system without a line-item argument.
  • One vendor to the fee receipt. Student app, campus ERP and fee collection are Eduvy’s own software, and no ERP integration is needed to start calling.
05 — Decide

How to decide, in six questions

  1. Do you want a platform or a process? A CRM team that enjoys configuring should look at LeadSquared. A registrar’s office that wants the calling fixed by next intake should not.
  2. Count the seats. Per-user pricing scales with counsellor headcount; per-institution pricing does not. Do the arithmetic for peak season, when you add temporary counsellors.
  3. Check whether the AI is in the plan or on top of it. An AI voice add-on changes the real total materially.
  4. List your integrations. If a named SIS connector is on the list, that weighs heavily one way; if it is a campus ERP and fee collection, it weighs the other.
  5. Ask where the data lives and how DND, calling hours and AI disclosure are enforced on automated calls in India.
  6. Test the failure case. Ask both agents a question your knowledge base cannot answer and watch what they say to a prospective student.
Questions, answered

Eduvy CRM and LeadSquared, in short.

Does LeadSquared have an AI voice agent for admissions?

Yes. Invorto Voice AI engages prospective students on inbound and outbound calls around the clock, qualifies enquiries, runs follow-up outreach and assists with document collection, logging transcripts and outcomes back into the CRM. On the higher-education plans it is listed as an optional add-on to the Super plan rather than part of the base package.

What does LeadSquared cost, and what does Eduvy CRM cost?

LeadSquared publishes list prices: Sales Pro at ₹2,500 and Sales Super at ₹5,000 per user per month billed annually, Marketing Pro at ₹90,000 and Marketing Super at ₹1,49,000 per account per year, and higher-education packages from $14,400 a year (Pro) and $18,000 a year (Super) for 500 to 15,000 enrolments. Eduvy CRM publishes no price list and quotes per institution.

Is a general-purpose CRM a problem for college admissions?

Not inherently — LeadSquared has a dedicated education practice with admissions workflows, SIS connectors and enrolment forecasting. The trade-off is configuration: a broader platform gives you more ways to model your process and more decisions to make before it works.

Which handles Indian telecom compliance better?

Eduvy CRM states its enforcement explicitly: DND scrubbing, TRAI calling windows and AI disclosure on every automated call, each college as its own DLT Principal Entity, and a launch gate that blocks campaigns until DLT compliance and knowledge-base readiness both pass. LeadSquared describes governed AI operating within compliance policies but the pages we read do not detail DLT or DND enforcement, so put the question to them directly.

Can we run both?

Some institutions do, keeping a broad CRM as the system of record and adding a calling agent in front of it. It is workable but you are then paying twice and reconciling two lead records, so it is usually worth deciding which system owns the student before signing.
